House Rules
- Bookers must be aged 19 or above. Pictured-IDs of all guests will be requested at check-in.
Bookers must ensure the information provided for booking, such as number of people/pet, stay dates, credit card etc, are accurate and up-to-date. In the event we are unable to provide the desired or alternate accommodation owing to incomplete information provided, the original booking shall deem late-cancelation and subject to a cancellation fee.
- For telephone booking, booker may provide a valid credit card to hold the reservation. In case of no credit card provided, we will try our best to reserve the room but unable to guarantee the availability at the time of check-in.
- Motel will pre-authorize the credit card to guarantee the reservations. Usually the cost of the first night accommodation plus tax.
- For bookings of more than 3 rooms under one name (or one credit card) in the same period of stay, it is deemed as a GROUP BOOKING and the motel reserves the rights to revise the cancellation terms, such as the due day of free cancellation.
- Motel management reserves the right to reject any booking within 24 hours of booking entering the system.
- Bookings made with online travel agents may have different terms and conditions. Those terms and conditions will be observed first if they are already stated during booking.
- Our rates may fluctuate according to seasonality. However, the rate on a confirmed reservation is "locked" and does not adjust to current rates.
- We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.
- Except for non-cancelable / non-refundable bookings, general bookings will be given a free cancellation deadline. Guests can modify or cancel their bookings before this date. In general, the free cancellation is 2-7 days before check in date and the cut-off time is 12pm local time.
- Unless otherwise stated, late cancellation is subject to a cancellation fee of the first night's rental. Late cancellation means the cancellation notice arrives after the free cancellation deadline.
- Late cancellation after 6pm on check-in date is considered NO-NOTICE. NO-NOTICE or NO SHOW is subject to full cost of stay, or a maximum of 3 nights.
- Guests already checked in may request for earlier termination of stay, notice must be given at least 24 hours in advance.
- Cancellation policies for Special Groups (such as wedding) and promotions may vary. Some special prices or group rates may be more restrictive in cancelation, or even non-cancelable and non-refundable. We may request, at our discretion, the booking of 3 or more rooms under one name to re-confirm the booking with a revised cancellation policy.
- In the event of tight availability foreseen for a certain period, the management reserves the rights to reconfirm the bookings and amend the cancellation terms. Verbal and written notice of new free cancellation deadline will be given to a guest with reasonable lead time.
- We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.
- Office opening hours: 8am - 10pm daily
- Normal check in time: 3pm - 10pm. For check in after 10pm, notification must be provided before 9pm so that appropriate arrangement can be made
- Early check in is subject to availability and must inform front desk one day before check in date. Extra fee will be charged: 1/4-day rent before 1pm, 1/3-day rent before 11am, 1/2-day rent before 9am
- At check in, the front desk will verify your check-out date. Rates quoted are based on check-in date and length of stay. Should you choose to depart early, price is subject to change.
- Normal check out time: before 11am. Late check out must obtain prior agreement of the motel management. Extra fee will be charged: 1/4-day rent before 3pm, 1/2-day rent before 6pm, a full day after 6pm
- Refund is subject to 10% administrative fee on the refund amount.
- We are pet-friendly, and have no specific restriction on what animals allowed to check in. Please check with motel manager when booking or checking in.
- In general, the animals must be healthy, should not arouse fearfulness amongst other guests, or poisonous, or perceived / known to be dangerous.
- All pets must be registered at check-in, and pay applicable charges at current rate card
- We have limited and designated rooms to accommodate pets. Guests are highly recommended to notify us the need of a “pet-friendly” room when making reservation. We may be unable to satisfy a last-minute request of pet to check in. Guests will be re-assigned to another pet-friendly room at the prevailing room rate. In the event of no suitable room can be provided, the reservation is deemed late-cancellation and subject to late-cancellation fee.
- Owners must ensure their pets are well-behaved, leashed or caged in all motel area, and make no disturbance / threat to other motel guests.
- Owners are responsible for cleaning up waste matters; and be responsible for compensating damages made by pets.
- Bring in pet(s) without informing the motel is subject to 200% of the applicable pet charge.
- Bring in pet(s) into a "no pet" room is subject to $200 penalty plus 200% of the applicable pet charge.
- Certified Guide and Service Dogs, as prescribed in BC Laws, are complimentary to stay with its handler, subject to advanced booking (and availability of pet-friendly room), and presentation of a valid certificate at check in.
- No smoking or vaping of any form inside all guest rooms.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited within 6 meters (20 feet) from any doorways, open windows and air intakes.
- No smoking or vaping of any cannabis (marijuana) products on our property.
- No residuals of burnt cigarette shall be brought into guest room, no matter it is in a container or not. Disposed of cigarette buds at designated places.
- Situation that violating our SMOKING POLICY (including but not limited to):
- The act of smoking or vaping
- Lighting or holding a burning cigarette
- Cigarette butts and ashes found in guest rooms
- Any container storing cigarette butts and residues found in guest rooms
- Costs of violating our SMOKING POLICY:
- SMOKING found in guest rooms will be charged $500, and immediate termination of accommodation service.
- SMOKING in prohibited areas will be charged $200, and may be subject to immediate termination of accommodation service.
- Physical damages as a result of SMOKING will be charged up to $5,000.00
- Registered guest shall be responsible for his/her room-mates’ compliance to this SMOKING POLICY.
- Chase Country Inn Motel, Chase Country Inn Ltd and its management are not liable to injury to persons, and loss or damage of goods, property or vehicle brought to this property. Hotel Keepers Act, section 3
- Partying is un-welcome. Respect other guests, avoid making any disturbance. Hotel Keepers Act, section 6
- No visitor after 10pm. All guests staying after 10pm must be registered with the manager and pay extra charge.
- Lost & Found shall be kept for 4 weeks after check-out. Perishable or opened food / beverage will be disposed of immediately after check-out. We do not hold any responsibility for the conditions of the Lost & Found when returned.
- Housekeeping is a mandatory routine, which is normally carried out during 8am - 1pm. If you do not need housekeeping, you may put up a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. However, guest room must be cleaned and maintained at least once every 3 days, even with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door.
- Insects are common in country side. Insects such as ants, tree bugs, bees, wasps, spiders, flies etc are mostly found outside but sometimes they may sneak into the guest rooms due to their habits. We do not actively use pesticides to control insects as they are harmful to humans and the environment too. However, we will try our best to control pests such as mosquitoes, cockroaches, bed bugs, mice etc by keep a clean and pleasure environment.
- An electronic room key card will be given at check in. Extra room key shall be provided on request.
- In the event of forgetting return the room key, Guests must arrange to return the key(s) to the motel at their expense within 2 weeks after check out.
- Lost key will be charged $5.00/key.

In case of EVACUATION ALERT, reservation and accommodation shall carry on as normal. Guests with checkin dates within 2 days of the EVACUATION ALERT can cancel with no fee. Other bookings' cancellation policy shall remain the same. Guests may need to decide whether to cancel the reservation in view of the latest fire situation.
In case of EVACUATION ORDER covering the address of the motel, all bookings will be cancelled with no cancellation fee.
All other situations which may or may not be related to the occurrence of wild fires, such smoke, traffic, health etc, are not included in this waiver.
